LIST OF THE 2016 PARTICIPANTS
SAVE THE DATE - October 12, 2017 will be our next challenge!
Every NFTE student is required to create an original business plan during a semester or year-long course. The business plan is the vehicle through which they demonstrate mastery of the entrepreneurial mindset – the way entrepreneurs approach and overcome challenges. By presenting their plans at business plan competitions, students have a unique opportunity to practice their public-speaking skills, gain professional advice on their plans from competition judges, and receive well-earned public recognition as well as award capital to invest in their businesses and/or their education.
On Thursday, October 6, 2016, 40 finalists from across the US who won regional competitions competed in the eleventh annual NFTE National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge in New York City, presented by the Citi Foundation. Enjoy some photos from the day below!
Our three finalists were:
Anna Doherty and Hope Sacco, Girls Coloring for Change, from Baltimore, MD - FIRST PLACE
Tessa Beatrice, Underdog Comics, from Framingham, MA - RUNNER UP
Matthew Sarreshtehdari, Rephone, from Downey, CA - RUNNER UP
