Israel
NFTE was launched in Israel in 2006 through a partnership with Ashalim of the Joint District Community. Programs were launched in 20 schools in January 2008, reaching approximately 460 students per year through 65 active teachers in both Hebrew and Arabic languages.
China
Since 2003, the Bright China Foundation has implemented classes reaching more than 13,000 students annually through more than 350 teachers. Programs reach students in Beijing and Shanghai, and the Hailungjiang, Guangzhou, Sichuan and Yunnan provinces, as well as Hong Kong.
New Zealand
NFTE partnered with Hui Taumata Taskforce in 2005, with the goal of bringing entrepreneurship education to indigenous Maori population of New Zealand. This year 20 teachers reached 500 students, and NFTE’s 10th edition textbook has been adapted for use in New Zealand.
Chile
India
The I Create/NFTE program began in 2000 and is currently operating in four regions of India: Rajasthan, West Bengal, Gujarat and Karnataka (Bangalore). This year, ICreate had 71 active teachers and trained over 1,500 young people at NFTE’s “on mission” level. ICreate has also reached over 25,000 youth and women from disadvantaged communities through shorter workshops.
Belgium
NFTE Belgium, which was established in 1998, is offered at 20 locations throughout the country, in both French and Flemish languages. The program reaches approximately 350 young people per year through 32 dedicated teachers.
Germany
NFTE Deutschland was established in 2005 with the goal of increasing entrepreneurial knowledge among German secondary school students. Focusing on immigrant and at-risk populations in Germany’s Realschules, NFTE Deutschland reaches more than 1,600 students annually through a corps of 86 teachers.
Ireland
NFTE Ireland launched in 2005 to teach entrepreneurship to young people ages 12-18. The program began in Dublin,Belfast and Cork, and recently expanded into Limerick & Donegal. This year, NFTE Ireland reached nearly 1,000 students and currently has 61 active teachers.
