CISCO Stem Innovation Challenge 1

On September 27th, 60 NFTE students will be invited to Cisco to learn about the Internet of Things, and how to apply network computing to solve real world challenges.

Teams of 3-4 students will be working on one challenge from this year's World Series of Innovation and wire frame an app idea that addresses a problem connected to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Up to 50 mentors from Cisco will support students as they develop the user interface and craft their final pitch for the competition. No coding skills needed.

SAP Youth Innovators Hackathon- Oct. 14th


​On Friday, October 14th NFTE and SAP are hosting a Hack-A-Thon for 50 NFTE youth at SAP's Success Factors in South San Francisco.

Teams of 3-4 students will be working on one challenge from this year's World Series of Innovation and wireframe an app idea that addresses an problem connected to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Up to 30 mentors from SAP and other professionals will support students as they develop the user interface and craft their final pitch for the competition. No coding skills needed.

On November 8th, 150 NFTE students from San Jose and Hayward, CA will be invited to Cisco to learn about the Internet of Things, and how to apply network computing to solve real world challenges.

Students will have an opportunity to experience Cisco technology and learn about the Cisco Network Academy, University Relations and their Entrepreneurs in Residence Program.  They will also have a Q&A with Cisco COO Rebecca Jacoby.
