Since she was a little girl, Stephanie Foxworth has dreamed of owning multiple businesses. One of her most ambitious plans involved building an amusement park. When that proved a bit beyond the parameters of the NFTE BizCamp she was taking, she focused on one component of it: making and selling chocolate covered apples. Bruce and Glen Proctor are identical twin brothers who grew up in Washington DC. Their drug addicted father was gone most of the time, often in and out of jail. When he was home he worked construction jobs but their mother had to accompany him on payday to make sure that she had money for rent. Even so, she struggled to make ends meet, often borrowing from relatives, and even their older sister helped by holding down a job. Amber Liggett comes from a long line of entrepreneurs, but even within her accomplished family, Amber stands out. She started her business, Amber’s Amazing Animal Balloon, at the age of nine, and has been running it for several years. It all began with a balloon kit she received for Christmas. Amber recalls, “I twisted so many shapes that it amazed my parents.
