On Tuesday, May 27, President Barack Obama hosted the 2014 White House Science Fair and celebrated the student winners of a broad range of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) competitions from across the country. The President hosted the first-ever White House Science Fair in late 2010, fulfilling a commitment he made at the launch of his Educate to Innovate campaign to inspire students to excel in math and science.

On Thursday, April 24, NFTE held its annual Gala at the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. This year’s Gala celebrated the global young entrepreneurs and educators of 2014, and 20 years of NFTE in the D.C. Region. The Gala honored Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank and philanthropist Diana Davis Spencer.
Last week, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) kicked off StartUp Africa. StartUp Africa is a program designed to spur entrepreneurial thinking among Africa’s youth and develop the strongest ideas into operating enterprises.
