NFTE is accepting applications to win the Daniel Treanor Inclusive Innovator Award, which is presented in honor of a NFTE alumnus who was stricken with cancer and passed away in 2002. This Award, originally established by the MCI Foundation and now supported by the MetLife Foundation, celebrates the spirit of innovation and inclusion that drives social change and economic opportunity for all, and the perseverance, grit and fortitude required to face a significant health challenge or physical disability.

Who is eligible?

Successful applicants will be NFTE alumni who have:

  • Created an accessibility-focused business idea that aims to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
  • Fully embraced the entrepreneurial mindset while facing a significant physical or health-related challenge.
  • Displayed characteristics such as perseverance, grit, and fortitude to succeed.

What will you receive?
  • A commemorative award.
  • A monetary award of $500 in recognition of your participation.
  • Admission for awardee & chaperone (if under age 18) to the National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge.
  • A featured segment in the NFTE National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge, including a bio and photo in the challenge program.
  • The opportunity to participate in the National Challenge Business Expo.
