NFTE’s latest policy brief is focused on Entrepreneurship Education as a Tool for Resilience in Conflict-Affected Regions. Around the world, conflict continues to disrupt education for millions of young people, challenging not only access to learning but its relevance in preparing students for uncertain futures. This Policy Brief highlights how entrepreneurship education can offer a powerful response by equipping students with durable, real-world skills such as problem-solving, adaptability, and decision-making that remain valuable even in unstable environments.
Drawing on global research and perspectives from NFTE partners in Ukraine, Israel, and Nigeria, the brief explores how entrepreneurship education strengthens resilience, supports economic participation, and empowers youth to remain future-oriented despite disruption. These insights demonstrate that when students learn through doing, they build confidence and capability to navigate complexity and create opportunity in their communities.
The brief also outlines key policy recommendations, including integrating entrepreneurship education into humanitarian systems, expanding experiential learning models, and localizing programs to reflect regional realities. Together, these approaches highlight how entrepreneurship education can serve as a critical tool for long-term recovery and youth empowerment in conflict-affected regions.
