Six Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) alumni took their business ideas “for a better future” to the international stage in Kitzbuhel, Austria.
The Sept. 23-26, 2023, YouthStart European Entrepreneurship competition celebrated the creativity and innovative capacity of youth. The annual awards program featured the Idea, Real Market, and We Grow Together challenges along with a first-ever European Climate Impact Award.
More than 200 young talents from 15 countries competed for the title of European champion.
“I’m thrilled to announce that our very own NFTE alumna and Babson College student Ela Gokcigdem emerged as the winner in the We Grow Together Challenge! Her business, Bloom, transforms algae mucilage into hydrothermal carbon, a groundbreaking solution that addresses the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 11 and 14,” announced NFTE CEO Dr. J.D. LaRock in his LinkedIn post.
The We Grow Together category featured ideas meant to positively and cooperatively change the world and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Gokcigdem was also invited to the 15th annual Global Peter Drucker Forum in Vienna.
