In Hoodline’s article, “Los Angeles Celebrates First Graduating Class of LApreneur Business Program Under Mayor Karen Bass’s Initiative,” Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship is highlighted for its collaboration on the program with the Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, the Economic & Workforce Development Department, BusinessSource Centers, and Loyola Marymount University.

LApreneur streamlines entrepreneurship education and resources, providing aspiring and existing business owners access to resources and tools – including NFTE’s 12-module Start It Up! course.

In addition to providing essential entrepreneurial skills, officials said the program melds theoretical knowledge with practical business acumen to foster the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass presented the first LApreneur graduating class of local business owners and entrepreneurs this fall. LApreneur was launched in May 2023.
