Watch as Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship CEO Dr. J.D. LaRock takes the voice of entrepreneurship education to the World Economic Forum’s Growth Summit 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland. LaRock will moderate “The Learning Relay: Education to Employment to Lifelong Learning” session on Wednesday, May 3 at 2:45 p.m. CEST or 8:45 a.m. EST.
The session explores gaps and roadblocks affecting the lifelong learning experience, partnerships necessary for holistic lifelong learning systems, preparation that readies people for the labor market, and tools employers should use to integrate young people into the workforce and train them according to business priorities.
Another Summit session addresses the central role small and micro enterprises (SMEs) play in driving economic growth, accelerating innovation and improving competitiveness. According to recent research from the World Bank, in emerging markets SMEs generate 7 out of 10 jobs created. LaRock will serve as one of the panelists discussing “Small is Beautiful: SMEs as Drivers of Innovation and Employment.” That session will also be May 3 at WEF headquarters and will begin at 12:30 p.m. CEST or 6:30 a.m. EST.
