Anthony Salcito is a globally recognized leader in education innovation and digital transformation. With a passion for leveraging technology to empower learners, educators, and institutions, Anthony has dedicated his career to transforming education systems around the world.
Anthony most recently served as Chief Institution Business Officer at Nerdy (Varsity Tutors), where he supported institutions and educators with solutions in tutoring, test prep, and enrichment.
He spent over two decades at Microsoft, where he served as the Vice President of Education, overseeing the company’s global vision for education and working with governments, school leaders, and organizations to integrate technology into classrooms effectively. During his tenure, he spearheaded initiatives like Microsoft’s Live@EDU, Minecraft in Education, the Microsoft Education Transformation Framework,” Microsoft Partners in Learning, Showcase School and the Microsoft Innovative Educator program which has helped schools globally achieve sustainable change through digital tools.
In addition to his longstanding work with NFTE, Anthony has served as an active board member at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Teach.org and EFMD. He has also helped author a book on Education Transformation which serves as a reference guide for schools looking to drive innovation to enhance student outcomes.
