NFTE AP® Business with Personal Finance brings together college-level business instruction, entrepreneurial thinking, and real-world financial decision-making. Designed to help students build practical skills for college, career, entrepreneurship, and life, this course gives educators the tools, resources, and support they need to deliver engaging, project-based instruction with confidence.
Students do more than learn business and personal finance concepts. They apply them through hands-on experiences, real-world scenarios, and signature projects that help them think like entrepreneurs, make informed financial decisions, and communicate ideas effectively.

A Launchpad for Life
AP® Business with Personal Finance offers students a clear pathway from classroom learning to real-world application. Students engage with AP® content and skills while preparing for the AP® exam. A score of 3 or higher may support college credit or advanced placement. The course offers approximately 135-150 instructional hours across a full school year.
Entrepreneurship + Personal Finance

Business Canvas Project
The Business Canvas Project serves as the culminating experience for Units 1 through 4. Students develop a business concept from idea to validation, using the Business Model Canvas as a tool to organize their thinking and communicate their plan.
Through this project, students explore customer discovery, market validation, revenue models, and presentation skills. They apply AP® business concepts in a practical, student-centered format that helps make learning relevant and memorable.

Financial Advisor Project
The Financial Advisor Project serves as the culminating experience for Unit 5. Students act as financial advisors for real or simulated clients, using personal finance concepts to develop strategic recommendations.
Students explore budgeting, savings strategies, investment options, and financial decision-making. They analyze information, consider client needs, and present recommendations supported by evidence.
